Intensive in-home services

When home life feels heavy, we come alongside your family.

Intensive In-Home Services give eligible youth and caregivers frequent, hands-on support to build skills, restore stability, and help the family stay together safely.

Support built for the home

IIH helps youth and caregivers practice new skills in the moments and places where challenges actually happen. The plan reflects the young person's voice, culture, strengths, needs, risks, goals, and family environment.

Services may include

  • Emotional-regulation and coping-skills training
  • Communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution work
  • Caregiver coaching and structured family practice
  • Safety planning and stabilization support
  • Coordination with outpatient, school, medical, or community providers
  • Discharge and transition planning for a lower level of care

Who may be appropriate

IIH may be considered for a youth under age 21 whose documented mental, behavioral, or emotional needs significantly affect functioning and place the youth at risk of an out-of-home placement. A participating parent, guardian, or responsible adult is an important part of the service.

Final eligibility, medical necessity, service authorization, and availability are confirmed before services begin.

A team approach

Your family is not expected to do this work alone. Qualified staff provide skill-building and family support under clinical oversight, celebrate progress, and adjust the plan when needs, risks, or goals change.
